Order a guide to events, fairs and festivals for 2006
Join Brookville in their annual Laurel Festival this June and tour the Laurel fields just south of Cook Forest, or sign up with the Pennsylvania Conservancy on a sojourn down the class 1, Wild and Scenic Clarion River. These one of kind events are unique to this part of the Pennsylvania WILDS Region and offer event goers and outdoor enthusiast a chance to experience and participate in authentic Pennsylvania culture and history. It is in this region of Pennsylvania where the Coolspring Power Museum will be displaying more than 250 historic engines that powered Americas industry during the 20th century, where Cook Forest State Park personnel will offer organized bird outings and the Sawmill Center for the Arts will host the annual 2 day Herb Festival.

According to Dave Morris, Director of the Great Outdoor Visitors Bureau there is an array of community celebrations, truck and tractor pulls and other events taking place through June. For the rest of 2006, County Fairs, Clarion’s Autumn Leaf Festival, East Brady’s Riverfest, the world famous Ground Hog Day, Emporium’s annual canoe float, fourth of July celebrations and ATV Tour De Forest all combine to exhibit and welcome participants to the one of kind, the unusual and the fun that families and outdoor enthusiast can experience in Pennsylvania’s Great Outdoors region.
